I know. It has been a while since I've posted. Christmas came and went, along with New Years. I didn't do much knitting because of tendinitis in my elbow. It still bothers me occasionally, but not quite as bad as before. I'm hoping a new keyboard tray at work will do the trick.
This has been a particularly snowy January. We had about 6 inches of snow a week and a half ago. It snowed all day while I was at work. The normal 25 minute commute turned into an hour and 15 minutes. That snow was followed by extreme cold. The kids had a calamity day because it was well below 0 degrees (F) one morning. The snow stayed on the ground for about a week until last Friday, when the temperature finally went above freezing. Over the weekend the temperatures dipped again and we were hit with another round of snow. Three inches fell during the day yesterday. This particular snowfall took the weather guys by surprise. Now they are predicting the white death for tomorrow into Wednesday. It is very typical of the local weather crew to overreact, especially following a major embarrassment.
It is too dark to take any pictures tonight. I'll try to get back into the swing of things. I promise. Maybe.

Our snow is sticking around in Boston also! It warms up enough for some of it to melt and then it refreezes into a nice ice layer on top of the old snow!!
Thanks for recommending the Plum novels. Cupcake or babe...hmmm...I'll definitely have to 'read up' on it!
